Early Dismissal - If you have to take your child out of school early, please call in advance.  or send your child in with a note for the front office. You MUST present your driver’s license when you arrive.  A work ID is not valid.

Happy Friday Falcon Family,
What an AMAZING first week of school we had with our students. It was busy but we LOVED every minute we got to spend with your kids.  Thank you so much for sharing them with us - it is our privilege to be part of their journeys. I can’t thank our staff enough for the incredible work they did to support our students this week; we are so excited to see what we accomplish together this year!

Important Calendar Reminders

Staff
Mrs. Copanic - We got wonderful student feedback about the creative and fun ways that Ms. Copanic worked to build community in class this week - while introducing STEM concepts!

The Related Arts Team - All volunteered to help with lunches and dismissal for the inclement weather closing and ensured that it was a smooth process and everyone was supported!

Our Para-educators (Ms. Jeffrey, Mr. Stein, Ms. Niessner, Ms. Naill, Ms. V, Ms. Munnaluru, Ms. Korman and Ms. Schultze) - Went above and beyond every day to support our students AND find additional ways to help in the hallways, at lunches and at arrival and dismissal.   

Students  (these are in addition to students who received positive phone calls or emails this week):

Caroline (grade 6) - for always showing up with a smile and sharing her positivity
Tyler D (grade 6) - for consistently going out of his way to be kind to others and show appreciation
Clarke (grade 6) - for asking great questions and
Scott B (grade 7) went out of his way to be inclusive and kind to new students
Connor H. (grade 7) - for being kind and inclusive and having SUCH a positive attitude every day

Mr. Mirecki- volunteered to help us with dismissal for the first few days of school - THANK YOU!

Important Information for Parents of Students in High School Credit-Bearing Courses  (Algebra I, Algebra I GT, Geometry G/T, Algebra II G/T, and AP Statistics, Exploring Computer Science & Foundations of Technology , World Language - Spanish I & II, French I & II) - please review the linked letter with important information about the withdrawal dates.

 

FQMS PTSA

PTSA meetings will be held the 2nd Monday of the month from September to June with a few exceptions.  Meetings will be virtual at 7pm on the dates below.

Sketchbooks - Art sketchbooks are available to purchase at the School Store for $10 during lunch time Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays.

School Store - The School Store will be open during lunch hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  If you are interested in volunteering to help run the school store during school lunch, please email FQMSPTA.President@gmail.com

FQMS Staff Shout-out - FQMS PTSA is so appreciative of the FQMS staff and how hard they work on behalf of our students on a daily basis.  Please take a minute to share some positive encouragement for staff members that make a positive impact for you or your family.  To uplift any FQMS staff member who goes above and beyond to support, show care, connect, build community or anything else that positively impacts students and families, click on this link.  This form goes to FQMS Administration to celebrate the staff member.  

Used Clothing Donation Shed - The donation shed located in the parking lot at FQMS is open.  Please make sure all donations are tied off in bags and deposited inside the shed. If it is full, please do not leave your items outside as they get thrown away. Thank you for your donations!
