NEWS FROM FQMS

Happy Friday, Folly Quarter Families,

This has been an exciting week, as we celebrate many of our students.  Please give a Folly High Five to the students below who showed hard work and excellence in the classroom and in extracurricular activities.  We are so proud of all of them!

The Council of Elders celebrated 52 students on Tuesday evening for their academic achievements. Congratulations!  The complete list can be found here.

Hip hip hooray for our December Students of the Month

We were very impressed with the students who participated in the FQMS Spelling Bee.  This took great courage, and we are so proud of all of them.

Congratulations to all of our Choral and Band students who performed this week.  The hard work of our students and directors in the classroom was beautifully displayed through music on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.  Thank you Ms. Sartor, Mr. Spang, and Mr. String for a job well done.  .

School Reminders:

  • Masks:  We distributed KN95 masks to all students and staff this week. Please remind your students to be vigilant with their mask wearing.  We continue to reinforce proper wearing over the nose and mouth everyday at school.  Thank you for your support in this effort to keep all students and staff healthy.
  • Outdoor dining:  We will continue to provide our students outdoor dining.  There may be days where the weather will prevent us from providing this option.  These days are rare.  We will follow the county guidelines to pause this option when the temperature combined with the wind chill is less than 20 degrees or the heat index is above 95.
  • Absences:  Please continue to communicate with us regarding your student absences.  Please use the protocol listed on our website and in last week’s flyer.
