VIRTUAL SCHOOL WIDE HOLIDAY  SERVICE PROJECT - PLEASE ATTEND SEL on 11/30  for FQMS School Wide Service Project. We are asking that all students be vigilant about attending SEL on Monday 11/30.  We will be making cards for a nursing home (electronically) that our staff will print and mail to residents to cheer them up- this is a wonderful way for our school community to safely and virtually support some of our Howard County community residents in need of some cheer and happiness this holiday season!

12/4  Lunch Bunch for Virtual  Community Service Project - At 11:15 on December 4th we will have a lunch bunch open to all students.   Students can use materials in their art packet or any materials at home to make physical cards to mail to the nursing home we are supporting this holiday season!    We will provide the point of contact and mailing address for students and some fun and creative ideas to make some festive and cheerful cards to send to our neighbors in need.

We are so proud of all of our FQMS Students and want to highlight our wonderful Students of the month for November - recognized for Gratitude and Kindness - Alexander C , Grace S., Noah G., Riley S., Ema C., Kacie C., Chloe H., Ethan S., Eli K., Marc M., Sanah A., Joshua K, Sanjay M, Isaiah M. , Mariam G., Shrij D, Isabelle Y., Peter W., Chelen A., Anna M.

From the PTSA

Parents,

We hope you all are doing well and staying safe!  The holiday season is upon us and certainly looking different for all of us in 2020.  The Folly Quarter community is thankful for all of our teachers and staff and the work they are doing everyday.  We appreciate their dedication to our children and the community.

In years past we have participated in Gifts of Gratitude to recognize and thank our teachers and school staff during the holidays.  We will not be participating in this program this holiday season, but are hopeful it can return for the end of the school year.  However, if you wish to acknowledge/thank your child's teachers/school staff, you are welcome to do so on your own.  As gifts are not necessary, but if you could take a few minutes to send an email to express your gratitude/appreciation/encouragement to a staff member or two, it would be a welcome surprise to our hard working staff.  If your means allow and you should choose to send a gift to your child's teacher, remember gifts may not exceed $20.  School staff email addresses can be found on the FQMS website.  Especially this year, it is important to remember and share some holiday joy to those who work within the school community.
