FALCON FRIENDS CLUB - BAKE SALE

On Monday, November 25, during Parent/Teacher Conferences (12:30pm to 5:30pm), our Falcon Friends Club will be sponsoring their annual bake sale.   Falcon Friends is a club that pairs students with disabilities with their non-disabled peers and teaches students the value of diversity and inclusion through various social activities.  The money raised from the bake sale will be used to purchase materials for the club.

All items sold at the bake sale come from donations from our staff and community.  Donations can be either homemade or store-bought (cookies, brownies, pies, cakes, etc.).  If you would like to donate items for the bake sale, please bring your goodies to the front office by Monday, November 25, 12:00 pm.

Thank you for your support!

American Education Week

Next week, November 18-22, is American Education Week! During this week, we celebrate the achievements of public schools in America and honor the work of people making a difference in education. On Wednesday, November 20,  we invite our Parents/Guardians to visit their children at Folly Quarter to experience all the events and activities that occur throughout the day.  We hope you can join us!

Here are some additional reminders for your visit:

  • Parking will be limited, so please consider carpooling or alternative parking options
  • For safety, please sign in upon entering the building and wear your visitor sticker
  • Please do not bring any siblings into the classroom during your visit
  • For student privacy, please silence your phone & do not take pictures while in the classroom
  • Due to capacity limitations, we are unable to accommodate guests or families during our lunch or recess periods

Carloop procedures

We have noticed an increase in traffic with more car riders the past week. We encourage you to drop your student at 7:35 AM and pull all the way forward down the curb so many students can exit their vehicle at once. All students are expected to be in period 1 before 7:50 AM. Link to information

PTSA - Reflections Contest

We are thrilled to announce that students at Folly Quarter will once again be able to participate in the Nationwide PTA Reflections program that allows students to express themselves through the arts. There are 6 categories: dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. This year's theme is "Accepting Imperfection," and all entries should be based on that theme.  Students may submit artwork in one or more categories by Friday November 22. Art work will be judged at our local Folly Quarter Middle School level, and the top three winning entries in each category will advance to the PTA Council level.  Please view the attached guidelines/rules and student entry form.

Please reach out with any questions and to submit artwork along with the student entry form to Ellen Sowry, our  FQMS PTSA Reflections Chair, at ellenbsowry@yahoo.com.
