NEWS FROM FQMS

Happy Lunar New Year! Tuesday was the start of a new year - the Year of the Tiger. The two-week spring festival is traditionally celebrated with fireworks, red decorations and delicious food with family and friends. The celebration culminates with the Lantern Festival.  We wish all families celebrating the lunar new year a very happy and prosperous new year.

February 1st also marks the start of Black History Month.  Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time to recognize the contributions and impacts they have made throughout U.S. history. Our students are engaging in lessons in all curricular areas to understand, listen, and learn about the rich history of our nation as it celebrates African American history.   Black History Month Resources & Events.
