Rising 7th and 8th Grade Course Registration
Middle school course registration - for the selection of a yearlong fine arts class and an additional elective class for the 2026-2027 school year - will be available online from February 5 - February 18, at 8:00 a.m.
Course registration for current 6th and 7th grade students, for the 2026-2027 school year, will be available online during the window of February 5 - February 18, at 8:00 a.m.***. Please read the letter (linked below) to guide you through the selection process for a yearlong fine arts class and an additional elective, for the 2026-2027 school year.

***Please note: Counselors will be meeting with each current 6th and 7th grader regarding their course selections. Do not worry if the selection window closes on 2/18 and you and your child have not yet made your selections! The Counselors will still be meeting with students past this date and can still enter the selections. ***
Is your child interested in attending the PTSA Winter Dance? And/Or are you available to volunteer?
PTSA is planning to reschedule the Winter Dance for Feb. 27th, 6-8pm. In order to hold the dance, we need a minimum participation of 100 students and 15 volunteers at the dance. Please let us know if you can attend the dance on February 27 from 6:00–8:00 PM. Please respond by Tuesday, Feb. 10th. Information for ticket sales will follow. Thanks for helping us plan! 2026 Family Academy Conference
HCPSS families are invited to attend the 2026 Family Academy Conference on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 5:30–8:30 pm at Long Reach High School. This free, districtwide event brings families, educators, and community partners together for an evening of learning, connection, and support. Families can enjoy a light dinner, a community resource fair, interactive workshops focused on academic achievement and well-being, and free childcare. Workshops will include topics such as college and career readiness, special education supports, curriculum updates, and hands-on learning strategies for use at home. Interpretation services will be available.

Various reputable county, state and national organizations can provide assistance every day and during times of crisis.
