Chromebook Loaners

A friendly reminder to ensure your student is bringing their charged Chromebook to school every day.  Starting in the new year, if a student forgets to bring their Chromebook to school, they will no longer receive a loaner.  Instead, they will use a desktop in the media center when they have a digital assignment.  HCPSS has changed the process for receiving replacement Chromebooks and the FQMS loaner inventory is often low.  We need to prioritize loaners for those students with broken devices awaiting repair.

Thank you,
Mrs. Taylor

HCPSS/The Council of Elders (TCOE) Community Academy

The Council of Elders of the Black Community of Howard County (TCOE), in collaboration with the Howard County Public School System, will host a TCOE Community Academy on Healthy and Unhealthy Relationships on Saturday, January 28th, 2023 from 9:00 - 10:30 am. The event will be virtual. The session will provide information regarding healthy and unhealthy relationships. Representatives from HCPSS, as well as Howard County community organizations, will provide resources and education on managing peer conflict, identifying abuse in teen relationships, and identifying skills and strategies to intervene if needed.  Administrators should share this information with your school communities via this flier. Registration is required, and families can complete the registration linked here. Direct questions to Ashley Armstead, BSAP Specialist.
