Counselor Corner

As the school year winds down, many middle schoolers feel distracted and ready for summer—but these final weeks still matter. Here are a few things to do at home to keep your child motivated:

  • Set small, realistic goals focused on effort and progress
  • Keep a consistent routine for homework and sleep
  • Break big tasks into manageable steps
  • Encourage effort with positive feedback
  • Limit distractions during study time
  • Celebrate progress, not just final grades

Finishing strong isn’t about perfection—it’s about building confidence and good habits that last beyond the classroom.

Thank you for your continued support!

Sincerely,

Allie Downey(School Counselor last names A - L)

Emelia Coonts(School Counselor last names M - Z)
